Music Theory underpins the learning of any musical instrument. It is an essential part of learning how to understand and appreciate the music you are playing.

Even if you do not currently learn an instrument or if you have instrumental or singing lessons elsewhere, gaining an understanding of music theory can really improve and enhance your instrumental lessons and your appreciation of music in general.

If you are currently preparing for ABRSM instrumental or vocal exams, you will need to have passed Grade 5 Music Theory before you can take a Grade 6 exam in any instrument.

Music Theory lessons are generally 30 minutes but can be longer if required.
